SONICWALL ALIGNS WITH PROCURVE NETWORKING BY HP TO SECURE ENTERPRISE NETWORKS

SonicWall is into business continuity and targeting the enterprise market. It is being carried by ACA Pacific. Recent activities include launching of a site to site data backup and recovery solution.

It is good to note that SonicWall is a brand and it certain serves them well in terms of creating alliances with others. Recently they have a strategic tied-up with Procurve from HP. In fact, Procure is actively seeking products to complement it large business segment, which is also into business continuity. However, this is not without the pre-requisite for a good brand like SonicWall.

Such game play is the norm for the enterprise market, it is one step away from acquisition of a company, its revenues and clients. With such move, SonicWall directly gain access to all clients of Procurve who may need a United Threat Management technology critically or who may think it is nice to have. Either way, it is win win for all parties.

Brand is powerful to break the barrier of racism, prejudice and political incorrectness. Customers also more willingly to pay for branded products because there is a noble deed in obliging to that, while non-branded products sales usually suffer abuses in terms of payment. This is a big issue in the IT industry.

This event is worth to take note as a best practice for product marketing strategy in the enterprise security market.
