Juniper Network's May 2011 Highlights - MMU, JNAA

Multimedia University (MMU) joins Juniper Networks Academic Alliance (JNAA).

This will enable MMU to provide students with built-in syllabus which will entitle them for three papers of the Juniper Networks Certification Program.

This program is expected to commence in September 2011.

Under this initiative, students will be given exposure to 'The New Network', leveraging on Junos® operating system as a framework. 'New Network' is a term coined by Juniper to represent next generation computer networking concept which most commonly revolves around the concept of cloud computing; cloud oriented network.

Similarly, exposure to Juniper Network's technology will also open doors for students to become part of the Juniper Network's global workforce and internship program.

The JNAA technical curriculum offered through MMU will be focused on two key areas of technology: enterprise routing and switching, and security. Depending on the courses taken, students will be prepared for up to three professional credentials: Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate-Junos, Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist-Enterprise Routing and Switching, and Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist-Security. These provide an excellent toolbox of relevant knowledge for today's networking job market and is a solid foundation for advanced Juniper training and certification in service provider, enterprise and security markets.
