If there is no virus, there is no need for antivirus.
In other words, it works according to the law of co-existence.
Some people classified hackers into white and black.
White are supposed to be the good guys and black are the bad ones. However, without black hackers, what is the for that we need the white ones ?
Banks are constantly under cyber security attack, of course it will be too late to argue about chicken and egg. Thus, to suggest that the world do not need intrusion prevention will be wrong.
However, we shouldn't really label people as good or bad. I can just say that each category lives by different ideals and they co-exist.
