Blue Coat Systems Announces Albert Kuo As VP for Field Operations for APAC

Blue Coat Systems, Inc., a market leader in Web security and WAN optimization, announced that Albert Kuo, a former HP executive, has been appointed general manager and vice president of field operations for Asia Pacific. Mr. Kuo has more than 15 years of experience driving sales success in the Asia Pacific region. In his new role, he will be responsible for all aspects of setting, managing and executing sales and channel strategy in the region. He will report directly to Marc Andrews, senior vice president of worldwide field operations at Blue Coat.

Prior to joining Blue Coat, Mr. Kuo was vice president and general manager for Asia Pacific and Japan in the Enterprise Security Products business unit at HP. In this role, he managed HP’s fastest growing business unit with responsibility for $80 million in revenue. Mr. Kuo joined HP through its acquisition of ArcSight, a leader in security and compliance management solutions. At ArcSight, he led field operations for Asia Pacific and was responsible for setting strategy and executing sales, marketing, channel partnerships and business development across the region.

Mr. Kuo received an M.B.A. from Columbia and a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley.
