Condition Zebra to host ZebraCon Conference 27th August, KL

Condition Zebra, an established risk management and critical infrastructure security solutions provider from United States, is hosting its inaugural conference on Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) in Malaysia this August.

Kicking off in 27th August, more than 400 GRC professionals and corporate leaders around the globe are expected to gather at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel for this 3-day symposium. The speaker line-up includes Drew Williams (President of Condition Zebra), Jeremiah Grossman (CTO of WhiteHat Security), and Jim Manico (Vice President Security Architecture of Whitehat Security), just to name a few.

Why you should attend ?

First of all, it is important to understand that GRC serves as holistic solution for migitation of security issues such as loss of assets, privacy violations and cyber-attacks.

Most enterprises see investment into ICT security solutions such as security end-point protection as the golden standard in protection against such threats. Besides that, there are many different ICT security solutions that are meant for different specialties such as data leak prevention solution; identity and access management solution; disaster and recovery solution; legal & compliance; policy management; records management; document management process & workflow and etc.

Nonetheless, implementations of such solutions are considered to be autonomous and modular and does not guarantee solving issues when it comes to the concern of holism. Hence, the golden standard is not about implementing the best solution, it is about having a framework which governs policies, identify risks and meet compliance.

Therefore, to create such framework, GRC knowledge is a pre-requisite.

The latest cyber-security trends for Q1 2013 found that major portions of recorded threats aroused internally within the organization.

Based on the knowledge of GRC, Condition Zebra had published an eBook that rounds up useful fundamental guidelines on BYOD adoption. This excellent resource highlights BYOD risk factors and handy tips to develop a sound policy to provide a safe harbor for the organization’s assets. First part of the eBook, “Navigating the waters of BYOD: Piloting the Perils” is now available for free download.

The 3-days conference will cover topics that include defining the well balanced policy; best practices; ROI; information security; PCI DSS 2.0; cloud challenges; Malaysia's NCSP and etc.
