The method relies on invocation of resources from other clouds to serve as the buffer for the data transfers - known as cloud-of-clouds.
The technology consists of a software platform that serves automation for data synchronization and ensures security.
In conjunction with this, the team has also developed a patent-pending algorithms which were published in a paper titled "Robust data sharing with key-value stores" at the IEEE/IFIP International Conference on Dependable Systems and Networks (DSN).
