PR - Jan 9, 2015 - Imagine and Design Your Ideal Office Aid

Ricoh Malaysia and MakerBot, the printing industry giants have kicked off the year by announcing the ‘Imagine 3D’ Contest, in conjunction with the launch of its new MakerBot 3D printers.

Designed to educate, innovate and inspire, the contest themed ‘Imagine Functionality: The Perfect Office Aid’, will have participants imagine, innovate and design their version of the ideal office aid that will bring change to the workplace, making it more efficient and conducive – top submissions will be brought to life with the MakerBot printers.

Registrations are now open for the ‘Imagine 3D’ Contest. PR - Jan 8, 2015 - MYHERO : first Malaysian community oriented social networking platform

MYHERO, the first Malaysian community oriented social networking platform, is officially launched to connect the community via area with neighbourhood groups, workplaces, as well as welfare, security and government agencies. Developed by local digital media powerhouse Dino Media, MYHERO aims to create more awareness in safety and security with features helping users to report and share incidents such as crime, traffic, disasters or accidents within the vicinity to alert other users within the area. The app is currently available on the Google Play Store for download.

The MYHERO app beta release is currently available on the Google Play Store and coming soon to the Apple AppStore with an upcoming web version launching soon.

Thiyagu Letchumanan has been named Director of Enterprise & Partner Group, and Nik Ariff Nik Omar has been appointed Public Sector Lead for Microsoft Malaysia.

PR - Jan 7, 2015 - WD Unveiled World Fastest 4 TB Hybrid Drive at Storage Vision 2015

WD®, a Western Digital company and world leader in storage solutions, demonstrated the world’s fastest 4 TB hybrid drive at the SATA-IO booth (#205) at Storage Visions 2015, January 4 to 5 in Las Vegas, NV. WD’s prototype drive utilized the SATA Express PCI-e interface, 4 TB 3.5-inch hybrid hard drive, and up to 128 GB solid state drive to deliver compelling performance and GB-per-dollar solutions for desktop and gaming applications.

The two WD SATA Express interface demonstrations at Storage Visions 2015 included commercially available motherboards from WD partners ASRock and Gigabyte. These systems demonstrated cabled SATA Express PCI-e interconnect flexibility and configuration options for single-volume caching and RAID.

The platform of home-based networked smart products comprising media and storage and air quality monitor, smart sockets, infrared remote controlled light, and a smart electric fan, among many others, aims to bring easy connection to people everywhere anytime. Huawei MediaPad T1 and X1, wearable device TalkBand B1, mobile access device E5 PRO, home access devices PT500 and WS331C, OTT Huawei M330 and vehicle-mounted module ME909Tu-565 were also on show to demonstrate Huawei’s integrated “Hilink” solution.
