PR - Apr 9, 2015 - Singapore - CyberArk Security Brief: Securing Third-Party Remote Access, a Weak Link in Enterprise IT
CyberArk, the company that protects organisations from cyber attacks that have made their way inside the network perimeter, today released a new security brief to protect organisations against cyber attacks through third-party remote access points. The brief, “Securing Remote Vendor Access with Privileged Account Security,” and accompanying Infographic.
High-profile attacks reveal that malicious hackers target third-party vendors and supply chain partners as a backdoor into their primary target. Organisations in every industry provide network access to third-party vendors, which range from services companies and suppliers to external consultants.
Attackers target less secure partners to compromise remote access points, steal and exploit privileged credentials, and gain access to targeted networks. From here, attackers can elevate privileges, move laterally through the network, and execute their attack goals while completely circumventing the targeted company’s defences.
PR - Apr 9, 2015 - Singapore - Cartrack Showcases Electronic Monitoring Solution at INTERPOL WORLD
Cartrack announcing that the INTEGRATE, an end-to-end managed Electronic Monitoring Services (EMS) solution, will be showcased at INTERPOL WORLD 2015.
Already adopted by the Singapore Prison Service, INTEGRATE offers the technology required to monitor persons-of-interest. The system, which is based on Cartrack’s advanced and extensive telematics platform, allows the effective monitoring of persons-of-interest such as offenders on extended supervision, parole, home detention or community detention. They can also be prison inmates going through halfway care and are in the process of reintegrating back into society.
The INTEGRATE system has three components: a Central Monitoring software, a set of field-monitoring devices, and management reporting. It can accurately detect a person’s presence in his or her residence via radio-frequency (RF) electronic equipment. Complementing RF monitoring with Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking, it offers more intensive and intelligent monitoring by understanding offenders’ routes outside of designated location. INTEGRATE EMS platform allows reliable collection of intelligent and actionable data from the electronic units. Regular reports are delivered, and alarms and violation alerts are triggered to multiple agencies in the justice and crime prevention industry

INTERPOL cyber threat researchers, including a Kaspersky Lab expert, have identified a threat to the blockchain in virtual transactions which could result in their being embedded with malware or other illegal data, including child abuse images.
Depending on the cryptocurrency and its protocols, there is a fixed open space on the blockchain - the public 'ledger' of transactions - where data can be stored, referenced or hosted within encrypted transactions and their records.
It is this open space which was identified as the potential target for malware by experts, an INTERPOL officer and a seconded specialist from Kaspersky Lab, in the Research and Innovation unit at INTERPOL's Global Complex for Innovation (IGCI).
