PR - Feb 24, 2016 - Obliteracers: 16-player party racer now available on STEAM!

Game developer and publisher Deck13 is pleased to announce that the PC party racer Obliteracers, developed by Australian developer Varkian Empire (Space Dust Studios), is now available on STEAM. Players will be able to purchase the US$14.99 game at a 10% discount for the first 14 days of sale on STEAM. Michael Davies (CEO, Varkian Empire) said: „We are very proud to release our first full game on STEAM. We were already humbled by our win of the Indie Showcase Award at the IFEST in Melbourne and are very much looking forward to seeing how the players like the game.“



PR - Feb 24, 2016 - AMD Expands Low-Power, G-Series Processor Family to Scale Performance, Price, and Power across its Embedded Line

At Embedded World today, AMD announced its 3rd Generation AMD Embedded G-Series SoCs and the Embedded G-Series LX SoC, providing customers a broadened portfolio of performance options. The latest offerings expand developers’ ability to scale x86 platforms, starting with the entry-level AMD Embedded G-Series LX SoC, which is pin compatible to the previous generation G-Series SoC devices.

Also announced today are two new, higher performing 3rd Generation AMD Embedded G-Series SoCs, codenamed “Prairie Falcon” and “Brown Falcon,” which introduce for the first time pin compatibility for G-Series processors with the higher performance AMD Embedded R-Series SoC.

Ovum - Feb 24, 2016 - Prepare for an m-commerce explosion

The total global user base for mobile payments will increase from an estimated 689.99 million users in 2014 to 4.77 billion users in 2019, according to global analyst firm Ovum.



Of the three segments covered in the new forecast* – m-commerce, person-to-person (P2P) mobile money transfers, and mobile proximity payments – m-commerce is the biggest in terms of users and transaction value.

Ovum forecasts 452.78 million global m-commerce users in 2014, rising to 2.07 billion users in 2019. The global transaction value of m-commerce will grow from $50.92bn in 2014 to $693.36bn by 2019.

PR - Feb 22, 2016 - Galasys Secures 25 New Contracts worth GBP1.1 mil

Galasys PLC, a market leading provider of integrated amusement park solutions and services in Asia, today shares that the company has secured 25 new contracts and new projects in the last quarter of 2015 worth GBP1.1 million.

The significant contracts included Asia's First Animation Theme Park, Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS) which is being built in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia by Animation Theme Park Sdn Bhd for a cost of RM450 million. MAPS features over 40 attractions in 6 thematic zones and is targeted to complete in 2016. Their contract with Galasys is worth RM1.37million.

PR - Feb 19, 2016 - Kaspersky Lab Outperforms the Competition to Secure Testing Top Spot

Kaspersky Lab has claimed top spot in the TOP3 metric for Internet security for the third year in a row, proving that its products offer the best protection from cyberthreats in the industry. Kaspersky Lab products scored more top-three places than any other vendor in comprehensive independent testing throughout 2015.

The annual TOP3 rating, devised by Kaspersky Lab, assesses the performance of nearly 100 vendors that took part in a variety of IT security tests for corporate, consumer and mobile products during the course of the year. Only tests from recognized and independent labs, whose methodology is transparent and clear were considered – such as AV-Comparatives, AV-TEST, Dennis Technology Labs, MRG Effitas and others. Tests performed in these programs assess all protection technologies against known, unknown and advanced threats.



In Kaspersky Lab’s TOP3 metric, each vendor is assigned a score based on the number of top three places and awards it received, relative to the number of tests in which it participated. Kaspersky Lab products participated in 94 independent tests throughout 2015, being awarded first place in 60 of them – the best result in the industry. Kaspersky Lab products also achieved a higher percentage of top-three places than any other vendor – 82%.

PR - Feb 18, 2016 - Consumers Abandon Brands Following a Bad Experience, Study Finds

LogMeIn today released the findings of a study that was conducted to better understand the attitudes, expectations and behavioral preferences of today’s connected, multi-channel consumer. Led by customer experience consulting group Fifth Quadrant in conjunction with LogMeIn, the report, Optimizing Customer Experience in India and South East Asia: Delivering to the Needs of the Connected, Multi-channel Consumer, surveyed over 1,500 respondents across Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines and revealed some serious implications for businesses that lag behind in delivering customer service experience and engagement.

When discussing customer experience, nearly eight out of every 10 study respondents indicated they would stop doing business with a company after a bad experience, with 72% indicating they would advise family and friends to do the same. Overall, across the region a majority of respondents felt moderately satisfied with their customer support experiences (44%), but there is definitely room for improvement as only 25% indicated a high rate of satisfaction.
