PR - Dec 16, 2016 - Dimension Data Drives Down Network OPEX for Leading Mobile Service Provider

As the leading local telecommunications provider in Malaysia, the organization was seeking for solutions to transform its existing core infrastructure into a robust and scalable network to improve the effectiveness and efficiency in delivery of its services. The challenge was to integrate its three OPEX model equipment running on three different platforms making it difficult for it to maintain IT agility.
Henrick Choo,
Managing Director at Dimension Data Malaysia

Dimension Data designed a modernised core network to simplify and consolidate the organisation’s underlying systems onto a single platform. This resulted in reduced time required for network maintenance, allowing the organization to launch new services in shorter time and future-proof its IT infrastructure.

These enhancements were also able to support subscribers’ rapid traffic growth and facilitate the company’s future roadmap of URL Filtering, Traffic Steering, Parental Control and other customer-centred offerings to offer consumers an enhanced data usage experience.

PR - Dec 13, 2016 - VMware Introduces Evolved Cloud Strategy to Address IT Decentralization

VMware released the results of VMware State of Cloud 2016 research report which highlighted at least 85% respondents agree that the purchase and management of IT has become more decentralized in the last 3 years.

Cloud is no longer purchased, managed and used only by IT. Marketing teams purchase Cloud services to store and manage customer data for engagement. Finance and operations leverage ERP systems and applications to automate billings and manage supply chains. Sales teams are using SaaS to manage their salesforce, track performances and more. While this gives functions greater agility and flexibility, decentralization of IT also exposes organisations to issues around duplication of resources and issues around cost, complexity and security. Further, as Line of Business (LoB) leaders from various business functions make technology purchase decisions, it contributes to a dispersal of decision making and fragmentation of standards.

PR - Dec 13, 2016 - Lessons We Learned From Data-Driven Marketing In 2016

In a 2016 MediaMath commissioned research study undertaken by Forrester Consulting, almost 41% of marketers in Asia Pacific said that they have adopted programmatic buying, with 82% of them either satisfied or highly satisfied with their investment in the technology. It is more evident that data, and programmatic, is now a central pillar of customer experience, and therefore marketing. Organisations now look to data for actionable insights and to drive better business outcomes. Increasingly, they are moving towards a smarter and more consumer-centric approach, which can only be done by deriving meaning from data.

Zachary King, Vice President, Commercial (Southeast Asia, Hong Kong & Korea) of MediaMath shares his insights on the lessons derived from data-driven marketing in 2016, and three trends that marketers can take into 2017 to unlock the potential of data for maximized business results.
  • Consumers increasingly expect a more personalised experience. This is perhaps why consumers are voting with a click of their mouse in order to avoid disruptive, annoying or irrelevant advertising. The increased usage of ad blocking technology is a consequence of irrelevant and unwanted advertisements.
  • Web content, social media, search, and online display advertising increasingly make up a greater proportion of the marketer’s arsenal to reach their target audience – and it’s easy to see why.
  • While close to three-quarters of marketers globally said that they remain confident in the practice of data-driven marketing and its potential for future growth, going digital requires expertise that can unlock and generate more value from data-driven marketing efforts.
