Xamarin updates are available.
Downloaded but installation failed to complete - the installation package could not be opened.
This happened whilst downloading the Xamarin 4.8.0.756 update, the Internet was disconnected.
As a result, the downloaded file was incomplete or corrupted.
The solution is to clear the downloaded files from the cache folder and run the update process again.

Clear all files from the following location except index.xml - or perhaps you might just want to clear all files that you have just downloaded for the day except index.xml.
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\MonoDevelop-4.0\Cache\TempDownload
