Jun 18, 2018 - Telcos in Singapore expect partner ecosystem revenue bump, but technology challenges threaten gains

Communications Service Providers (CSPs) need to accelerate the adoption of digital transformation strategies, given rapid changes in Asia Pacific’s telecoms industry landscape and stiff competition from over-the-top (OTT) competitors. This is the premise behind independent global management and technology consultancy BearingPoint’s latest report, “Partner ecosystems: the silver bullet for telco woes?”: With only 30% of CSPs in Singapore embarking on the execution of new business models and digital offerings based on partner ecosystems in spite of 50% anticipating that partner ecosystems will deliver a 16%+ revenue bump in just two years, the comprehensive report delves into technological roadblocks telcos face when implementing new business models.
