More than half of the Malaysian workforce favour their manager’s values over the company’s values

PERSOLKELLY’s latest Asia Pacific (APAC) Workforce Insights survey has found that 62% of Malaysian workforce place more importance on their manager’s values than their company’s values, indicating that Managers are key to creating a sense of belonging and harmony among workers in Malaysian organizations. The survey also found that:
  • One in two Malaysian workers feel that companies are more likely to focus on shareholder interests rather than staff interests
  • 29% of Malaysian workers want their cultural background to be valued by the person they are working for, 12% higher than the APAC average
The APAC Workforce Insights survey featured responses from over 9,000 hiring managers and candidates from nine countries in APAC, with an aim of exploring key insights of changing workforces and how these trends might create impact in the employment scene across region.
