Asia Hackathon 2018 deemed successful for the fintech startup FiiiLab

The FiiiLab Asia Hackathon 2018, an 8 days technology challenge event for blockchain security and protection measures which was initiated by Hacker Panda and facilitated by local community partner KakiDIY was ended on a high note.

This technology challenge event took place in a few locations. It started in Shenzhen on August 19th, concurrently with the 8-days global online competition and ended at Kuala Lumpur Station yesterday. The whole Hackathon event will be wrapped up with an award ceremony in Chengdu, Centennial Chunxi Hongxing Road.

Participants were required to do real hacking into a system to find vulnerabilities and loopholes in both physical unit and online cloud server. There are 70 participants registered for this event. Surprisingly, most of the individuals participated in the event were local IT students in their 20s, and some professional developers in their mid-30s or 40s. There were three judges, Rene Bernard, CEO & Founder of LexTag, Darren Tan, Managing Director Integrated Itech System and Sylvester Lee, CEO & CTO of FiiiLab evaluating the projects by every participant.

Award ceremony held right after the release of results from judges. The winners of this Hackathon are Wong Voon Pang, the second runner up, Tan Andy, the first runner up and Ngoh Chee Shong, the champion of this match.

In each locality, at the end of the competition, the winning team will receive what organizer has prepared, the prizes total worth 1,000,000 USD and 10,000,000 FiiiCoin were given away to Hackathon participants. Winners were rewarded with a high-security cryptocurrency account and e-wallet from FiiiLab, and Asia Hackathon also will be the world first blockchain technology hackathon which participant will get bitcoin as rewards. Those participated in this 4-hour hacking event were also rewarded Trophy, Certificate, 1,000 FiiiCoins and a free meal.
