DIY Solar USB Charger

By Ken Myers

This easy to create USB charger uses solar power to charge your phone or other device on the go! Inexpensive and easy to make, it only takes a few parts to create your own portable solar powered USB charger. The total cost for the parts should be less than $30, and can get even lower if you have some parts on hand or can buy wholesale. All it takes to put this device together is a little electrical knowledge and a steady hand. Within just a few minutes you can create your own solar powered charger for much cheaper than retail price.
