Press Release:

KUALA LUMPUR, OCTOBER 9, 2007 – F5 Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: FFIV), the global leader in Application Delivery Networking, today announced an updated version of its Ask F5 portal to help customers and partners find answers to their product and support questions quickly and efficiently. Launched in 2000, Ask F5 continues to be a powerful portal for customers and partners to access helpful information about F5’s products.

Inspired by F5’s commitment to improve its customers’ experience and overall satisfaction, the Ask F5 Customer Support team leveraged users’ top site-enhancement requests as the primary drivers for the project. In addition to its own exhaustive testing, F5 also conducted a beta release of the site for its worldwide user base a month prior to the site’s formal launch.

“F5 Malaysia’s customers and end-users will benefit from a more powerful Ask F5 portal,” said Ivan Wen, Country Manager of F5 Malaysia “Direct access to information about F5’s products will take their experience with us to the next level.”

“By providing a worldwide beta period for the site, we were able to ensure that our customers were as satisfied as we were with the direction of the new Ask F5 site—both its look-and-feel and its improved ability to efficiently deliver technical solutions.”

F5’s efforts resulted in the delivery of new Ask F5 portal features. Highlights of the new Ask F5 include:
  • More efficient access to information through a completely new search engine
  • Improved navigation and usability through an enhanced site design
  • A more effective receive-and-response system for important customer feedback through advanced authoring/publishing tools and enhanced reporting capabilities

Ask F5 helps end-users to get the most from our F5 technologies, with easy navigation through a repository of shared knowledge to find answers to product questions, as well as general tips to maximize performance. In addition, Ask F5 provides end-users a way to research new deployment options and product configurations prior to implementation, which is very useful in terms of scaling IT infrastructure.

In conjunction with F5’s recent ISO 9001:2000 certification for quality management, the company continues to make customers the top priority through this and other efforts. Moving forward, F5 will continue to evaluate, plan, and introduce new features to consistently enhance and evolve its online customer tools and resources.
