JUNIPER NETWORKS Becomes Participating Organisation Member of PCI Security Standards Council

Juniper Networks has joined the U.S.-based PCI Security Standards Council as a Participating Organization. In an era of increasingly sophisticated behavioural-based attacks on systems, adhering to the PCI Data Security Standard (DSS) represents one of an entity's best protection strategies against data criminals.

Endorsed by American Express, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide and Visa Inc., the PCI DSS requires merchants and service providers that store, process or transmit customer payment card data to adhere to information security controls and processes that ensure data integrity.

Juniper’s UAC (Unified Access Control) and existing firewall solutions already meet the requirements of general PCI DSS; and the company will work with the Council to evolve the PCI DSS and other payment card data protection standards to deliver compliance solutions that are easy to deploy and maintain, improve risk mitigation, and enable businesses to be competitive.
