PageRank Dropped To Zero

The PageRank of IT-Sideways.com (which is parked on Google's blogspot) was 4/10 starting early of the year.

On 18 Mar 2009, it dropped from 4/10 to 2/10.

On 4 Apr 2009, it dropped from 2/10 to 0/10.

This blog is on its 6th year of running and we do the same thing over and over again. While the pagerank doesn't really affect anything, could this be some kind of sabotage?

Brandon Teoh (the main blogger) is not a main stream blogger. The blog itself is hosted on blogspot.

This blog has the intention of sharing knowledge and that is about it.

I hope IT-Sideways.com will not be disappeared from search engines some day.

But I want to commit to the people who benefited from my blogs that if that day come, all the contents will be moved to a new domain and the spirit will live on.Because the original intention is not about the PageRank, it is about contributing knowledge or content back to the Internet. The same way as I have benefited by using the Internet since the first day.

Referring to your post (http://www.it-sideways.com/2009/04/tech-blog-malaysia-statistics-mar-09.html), I believe you should be working harder in the marketing segment -- Move on to word of mouth stuff (social), or make a difference in the community by creating something useful for them (not just info, but a product by itself).

Your visitors and its loyalty can give you loads of hypothesis of what's going on already. A few more things you should check out -- Bounce rates, recency, exit&entry&landing (if you don't have, create a funnel), Trending (depth and length).

Good luck.
