NTT Communications Accelerates Security Innovation with Juniper Networks Open IP Solution Development Program

Juniper Networks announced that NTT Communications (NTT Com) has joined the Juniper Networks Open IP Solution Development Program (OSDP), gaining access to Juniper’s Partner Solution Development Platform (PSDP) for the development of specialized applications on its best-in-class JUNOS® Software. NTT Com is using the PSDP to expedite delivery of specialized security services for Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) prefix hijacking protection; as part of the service provider's involvement in the Japanese government's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications research project. NTT Com's route hijacking protection solution will be beta tested in October 2009 and is expected to be deployed in the network in March of 2010.

The PSDP provides resources, including a software development kit (SDK) for carrier grade routing platforms, with intelligent and secure interfaces to JUNOS routing and service functions, and technical and business support. With the Juniper PSDP, service providers can develop and deploy the specific capabilities that are important to the success of their business models, such as security, data stream manipulation, deep packet inspection and specialized protocols.
