The Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC), the driver of the MSC Malaysia initiative, today announces the completion of the RM30 million Malaysian Research & Education Network (‘MYREN’) Phase 2 upgrade which project it manages for the Ministry of Information, Communication and Culture.
The upgrade sees an improved MYREN by up to fourteen (14) times in speeds and bandwidth capacity; direct linkages to other global research and education networks such as T TEIN3 (Trans-Eurasia Information Network) (covering Asia Pacific) & GEANT (covering Europe); as well as boosted high-speed bandwidth connections covering 28 participating public and private universities across the nation.
