According to Jimmy Fong, Channel Sales Director, SEA, Kaspersky Lab, Malaysia has a great pool of talents in the field of cyber security and this competition will serve as an imperative focal point as well as a platform for the young generation to showcase their talents and knowledge in the common goal in fighting global cyber security threats.

“We received tremendous feedback from Malaysian students and tertiary education institutions since the introduction of this competition in 2009. We foresee that we will receive a better response this year as cyber threats has grown and evolved in greater extend across a broader platforms with sophisticated modus operandi like malwares in smartphones and clouds as well as the cyber terrorism, which is highly vulnerable to the national security. As such, we believe that the students in this competition have their own distinctive viewpoints on the recent escalating of cyber security issues that could help us to find more alternatives in combating the rise,” added Mr. Jimmy Fong.
