KUALA LUMPUR, April 2, 2013 – U Mobile Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s most dynamic and innovative 3G mobile operator and SAS Malaysia, the leader in business analytics software and services, today announced the integration of SAS’ Visual Analytics solution into U Mobile’s operations in Malaysia. This strategic business move will allow its executives immediate access to real-time consumer behaviour data for significantly more informed business decisions.
At the signing ceremony, Jaffa Sany Ariffin, Chief Executive Officer of U Mobile highlighted a few things. The core challenge of service provider under saturated market condition is to maintain existing market share by reducing churn rate and to strive for 5 years growth rate between 10% to 20%. Implementing analytics solution will help to allow them to profile customers in order to identify behaviours, patterns and market trends. Having empowered with such capability, U Mobile is expected to provide better delivery to customers.
With regards to latest updates, U Mobile had just recently completed collaboration with Maxis for northern territory coverage and is excited about the incoming LTE (4G) trend.
Jaffa broke that SAS' Visual Analytics solution fared better than other tools provided by platform vendors such as Ericsson and ZTE which U Mobile had been using before this.
