Singapore. August 28, 2013 – Silver Peak Integrates with VMware Network Virtualization to Automate Deployment of Virtualized Network Services

Silver Peak, today announced integration of its data acceleration software with VMware NSX™, the platform for network virtualization. The integration uses Silver Peak’s “Agility” software to provide point-and-click traffic redirection and workload optimization from one virtual machine (VM) to another across VMware NSX virtualized networks.

CNET - Aug 26, 2013 - Google's Schmidt Disapproves Oracle's Ellison

It was first reported by Reuters that Ellison had commented that Google infringed on its Java patents for its Android platform.

Schmidt retorted that the claims are simply untrue and that U.S. District Court had ruled in in favor of Google.

Singapore, Thursday, 22 August 2013 – OpenNet, CityNet and SingTel Jointly File Consolidation Application with IDA

OpenNet announces today that it has jointly with CityNet Infrastructure Management Pte. Ltd. (“CityNet”) and Singapore Telecommunications Limited (“SingTel”) filed a Consolidation Application with the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (“IDA”). The Consolidation Application seeks regulatory approval for the purchase by CityNet, in its capacity as trustee-manager of NetLink Trust, 100% of the issued and paid-up capital in OpenNet from current shareholders Axia NGNetworks Asia Pte. Ltd. (Axia Asia), SPH Net Pte. Ltd. (SPH), SPT Net Pte. Ltd. (SPT) and SingTel Interactive Pte. Ltd.

The Consolidation Application is subject to the IDA’s review and approval. OpenNet assures its customers that all its services to them shall continue and remain unaffected, during and after the IDA’s review of the joint application. The terms and conditions of OpenNet’s service offerings, which are subject to regular regulatory reviews by the IDA, will remain unchanged unless otherwise required/approved by the IDA.

SearchSOA- Aug 21, 2013 - Enterprise architects' role evolving with business objectives

Jeanne Ross, director and principal research scientist at the Center for Information Systems Research (CISR) at the MIT Sloan School of Management commented that in time to come, enterprise architecture shouldn't fall under the IT umbrella anymore.

When asked who should be responsible for enterprise architecture, Ross responded that the most important trait may not be a technical one.
