UOB Asset Management (Malaysia) Berhad is pleased to announce the launch of United Global Durable Equity Fund. The Fund helps investors to benefit from investing in durable companies amid volatile market conditions.

Ms Lim Suet Ling, Chief Executive Officer of UOBAM (Malaysia) said that the launch of the Fund is timely given the volatile outlook for global equities market.

Given the uncertain global macroeconomic conditions, Ms Lim believes that investing in durable companies is favourable because such companies are generally able to generate good returns in any market condition.

RS Components (RS), the trading brand ofElectrocomponents plc, the global distributor for engineers, has launched a new, more advanced model of its RS brand IdeaWerk 3D printer. The RS IdeaWerk Pro, which is priced at only £590, is capable of handling multiple types of filaments, including Flexible, PLA, ABS, PA/NYLON, PC, HIPS and PVA.

The RS IdeaWerk Pro has many features in common with the RS IdeaWerk FDM 3D printer, which is already selling at a reduced price of £490. These features include: build volume of 150 x 150 x 140mm; minimum layer resolution of 0.18mm; and maximum print speed of 30mm3 per hour, which makes it one of the fastest 3D printers in its class. Moreover, in addition to offering multiple filament options including the popular PLA material, the RS IdeaWerk Pro features a heated bed that can handle 0 to 120°C and high-temperature extrusion up to 300°C. PR - Aug 24, 2015 - Huawei Introduces Certification to Enhance Professional Competence among Tech Graduates

Huawei has once again come through on its commitment to support ICT skill development in the country by introducing a development program for four technology based universities under the Malaysia Technical University Network (MTUN). The Huawei Certified Network Graduate (HCNG) Programme was launched today by YB Dato Seri Idris Jusoh, Minister of Higher Education, Malaysia at Huawei’s Global Training Centre, Cyberjaya.

YB Dato Seri Idris Jusoh, Minister of Higher Education, Malaysia, and [7th from right]  Mr. Abraham Liu Kang, CEO of Huawei Malaysia together with selected graduate students of  Huawei Certified Network Graduate (HCNG) Program from Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UNIMAP), Universiti Tun Hussain Onn Malaysia (UTHM), and Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM).

The program is designed to increase professional skills amongst graduates through an industry based curriculum and is aligned with the Higher Education Blueprint 2015-2025. Selected graduate students will be exposed to end-to-end holistic ICT training covering IP, Wireless, Fixed, Transmission, and Core Network. The 45-days training program, which ends on 14th September 2015, will conclude with trainees being awarded the Huawei Certified Network Graduated Certification (HCNG).

Under the program, Huawei will specifically deliver:
  • Industry based Course Curriculum, i.e. world-class ICT curriculum that undergraduates need to succeed a dynamic technology industry
  • Laboratory and Site Experience, i.e. Huawei smart devices to access training materials and labs, equipment for practice, live onsite experience to enhance practical capabilities
  • Trainer Cultivation Modeling, i.e. training plan for each trainer to be customized by competency assessment and learning map design
  • Globally benchmarked Certification and Global Test Delivery system to support international, accurate computer-based test system and flawless exam delivery
