PR - May 30, 2016 - Intralinks Announces Content Collaboration Network

With businesses becoming increasingly global and cross-functional, flow of content and collaboration within internal and external teams across multiple locations is inevitable. The Dimension Data survey, ‘2016 Connected Enterprise Report’ shows that 70% of organizations in Singapore (as compared to 63% recorded globally) use consumer grade collaboration tools to meet their enterprise content collaboration needs. This is despite the fact that 53% Singapore organizations surveyed said they use consumer grade tools even though IT has turned those tools down. This phenomenon points to a serious risk for companies as these consumer-grade collaboration tools lack security features and customization possibilities. It puts the organizations at extreme risk when employees are transferring high-risk, high-value data in an unprotected manner.

Addressing this issue, Intralinks Holdings, Inc., a leading, global SaaS provider of secure content collaboration solutions has announced significant new integration and security capabilities that power its new Content Collaboration NetworkTM platform. These enhancements demonstrate Intralinks’ continued commitment to solving three key collaboration challenges for its customers -- data privacy, global regulatory compliance and the ability to accelerate business beyond geographical and departmental boundaries.

With a clear understanding that for users to adopt enterprise-grade collaboration platforms, a frictionless user experience is crucial. At the same time, the platform should not sacrifice the enterprise-grade security. As such, Intralinks has included the following capabilities on their platform:
  • Third party enterprise content management (ECM) and storage integration to integrate with cloud storage tools and consumer-grade collaboration tools.
  • Information rights management (IRM) to protect content at rest and in motion, and even after the content has been downloaded.
  • Data loss prevention (DLP) where users have the ability to extend DLP rules to the network to leverage existing information security investments; Intralinks is partnering with Symantec to provide this capability.
