Ricoh once again made its presence felt at the annual International Printing, Paper, Packaging and Machinery Exhibition (IPMEX 2017). The show draws on an established track record of attracting visitors from all over the world from a wide range of industries and backgrounds.
Among the highlights from Ricoh at the show included a showcase of its recently launched Pro 8200 mono series and the Pro C5200 colour series – both launched in March this year.
Also featured was the brand’s commitment to surpassing boundaries with its Neon Yellow Toner and an introduction of its new Neon Pink Toner. Visitors to Ricoh’s showcase at the event also got sneak peek into the brand’s Direct to Garment (DTG) printers.

Sage, the market leader for integrated cloud accounting, payroll and payment systems, has announced the appointment of Kerry Agiasotis into the role of Executive Vice President for Sage Asia Pacific.

The Minister of Higher Education, Dato' Seri Idris Jusoh today launched the UTM-Huawei iLearning Cloud Showcase at the Media and Game Innovation Centre of Excellence (MaGICX), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in collaboration with Huawei Malaysia to promote the concept of learning on-demand. The concept of "iLearning Cloud" involves using cloud computing and big data technologies that enables current teaching and learning processes to become more interactive. By using this technology, it will provide students a more immersive learning environment in which materials are accessible wherever they are.

Students and lecturers can also share the learning content among different universities.

PR - Aug 7, 2017 - Cyberjaya - IBM Malaysia and MDEC collaborate to enable students as future Digital Makers through the IBM Watson Maker Workshop
In an initiative to transform young Malaysians from digital consumers into digital makers, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and IBM Malaysia recently co-hosted the IBM Watson Maker Workshop for SMK Kompleks KLIA. This workshop’s objective is to enable students to acquire beginner’s maker and coding skills, and to learn about artificial intelligence in a fun way.
Volunteers from IBM Malaysia guided 30 students in building and assembling ‘TJBots’ from laser-printed cardboards and Raspberry Pi 3 boards before connecting them to Watson Speech to Text application programming interface (API) service available on IBM Bluemix. Through this initiative, IBM and MDEC aim to strengthen the students’ problem solving skills and expand their level of creativity.
“It is gratifying to see students team build their own robots while learning and exploring technology. Technology is all about keeping experiments going and coming up with something truly life-changing for the world and the community. By exposing students to coding, robotics and artificial intelligence, we are preparing them for the future where digital technology is disrupting businesses. It was great to see the commitment from MDEC towards the #mydigitalmaker initiative to skill up youth in the ecosystem.,” said David Raper, Lead, Corporate Citizenship, IBM Asia Pacific and Greater China Group.
