Build Eco Xpo (BEX) Asia, Southeast Asia’s leading trade exhibition for the green building market, kicked off with a bang today at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre. Visitors from more than 50 countries are expected to attend the event today to get a first-hand look into some of the latest innovations and insights in the Asian green building, HVAC-R, water, energy and heating industries. PR - Sep 11, 2017 - Siemens concludes SPACe ASEAN Innovation Tour 2017 in Malaysia

Siemens, a global technology powerhouse in the areas of electrification, automation and digitalization, hosted the final leg of the Siemens Process Automation Conference & Exhibition (SPACe) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last week, with attendance of around 70 participants comprising users, partners and Siemens experts.

SPACe is an enriching platform that engages attendees from different parts of the world to discuss emerging trends and challenges within the industry sector.

Through presentation and technology sessions, microfairs and exhibitions, as well as industry workshops and networking sessions, it provides existing and potential users with the opportunity to connect with industry peers, gain insights from experts, and have a first-hand access to the latest Siemens’ technologies.

PR - Sep 8, 2017 - MIMOS and Huawei partner to enhance public safety and smart city

At Huawei Connect 2017, Huawei Malaysia and MIMOS, Malaysia’s National Research and Development Centre for ICT, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together in identifying opportunities related to public safety and smart city projects across the region and jointly develop solutions with Huawei’s Openlab and MIMOS’ Open Innovation Platform.


According to Ahmad Rizan Ibrahim, CEO of MIMOS, “As our cities continue to expand in size and complexity, there is an increasing need for technology and innovative solutions to keep our infrastructure, services and citizens safe and protected. It is important that these solutions can help citizens and authorities to detect, mitigate and prevent safety issues. We are working towards investing in smart initiatives especially when it comes to public safety that will help push the region forward. Partnerships with ICT giants like Huawei contribute to the broader Smart City initiative.”

The partnership will see discussions in an exchange of intelligence to develop technology solutions using both Huawei’s Openlab and MIMOS’ Open Innovation Platform. Both parties intend to work together in the research and development of public safety, based on intelligent video cloud solution in the area of smart city.

PR - Sep 1, 2017 - KPJDSH emphasises sustainability of breastfeeding

Breastfeeding, a powerful component of child survival strategy outlined by international organisations, was celebrated recently at KPJ Damansara Specialist Hospital (KPJDSH).

Parents and their children were among those who gathered at the hospital's World Breastfeeding Week celebrations that was also attended by Chief Executive Officer Fawziah Muhammad, Chief Nursing Officer Jaliah Mat Jani and Operations And Clinical Manager Dr Ellyana Ismail.

The event included talks by experts and non-governmental organisation representatives on the advantages of breast milk and fun activities for children.

KPJDSH Consultant Paediatrician And Neonatologist Datuk Dr Musa Mohd Nordin, in his opening speech, said breastfeeding prevented six million deaths each year.

World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated annually from 1 to 7 August. It seeks to encourage breastfeeding and improve the health of babies globally.
