Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC), an industry consortium dedicated to reducing cyber-risk in the global financial system, is announcing that the CERES (Central Banks, Regulators, and Supervisory entities) Forum now has 11 members from 10 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America. This includes the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Bank of Thailand.
Established a year ago as a forum for central banks, regulators, and supervisors, the CERES Forum is an information sharing group that allows these organizations to share information impacting global security and resiliency, and guard against ever-growing cyber and physical threats.
Notably, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), which collaborated with FS-ISAC to establish an Asia Pacific Regional Intelligence and Analysis Centre in 2017, also played a key role in conceptualizing the CERES Forum.

7-Eleven Japan recently shut down their new payment application at its convenience store, 7Pay, just 2 days after its launch. It was reported that the app had a security flaw, and hackers were able to access 900 customer accounts, and customers lost a total of US$510,000 collectively.
Amit Sethi, Senior Principal Consultant at Synopsys, commented that zero day exploitable flaws can be discovered by performing penetration testing.
Laurie Mercer, Sales Engineer, EMEA, HackerOne, commented that recent experience at HackerOne shows that when incentivised with a modest bounty - hackers can find loopholes like this in under 4 minutes.

Tmall has rolled out a suite of tools for brands to customize their online storefronts and offer a more-personalized experience for shoppers.
Called “Flagship Store 2.0,” the solution from Alibaba’s premier marketplace pulls together into the Tmall app both analytics and technologies that have proven popular with customers elsewhere in the group ecosystem.
Tmall’s goal is to offer brands new tools to revamp their existing flagship store and offer each consumer a personalized page based on their previous shopping pattern. It’s also giving brands a New Retail twist, letting them display and order offline specials and inventory through their newly designed online stores.
Jiang Fan, president of Taobao and Tmall, said the offerings is important to support users to level up their competitiveness in the marketplace, and to establish TMall as the top go-to platform for innovative e-commerce.
