Aug 5, 2019 - Tencent Wukong AI Advances with Popular Mobile Strategy Game, Honour of Kings' Professional Players

Tencent Wukong AI defeated professional players in an exhibition match during the semi-finals of the “Honour of Kings” World Champion Cup (also known as KCC). Tencent Wukong AI applies Tencent AI Lab's latest research in strategic and collaborative AI in the popular Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game, “Honour of Kings”. This victory advances Tencent Wukong AI to the next level and demonstrates its ability to solve more complex challenges at the level of professional players.

Tencent Wukong AI demonstrated its capabilities in long-term  strategic insights, teamwork and collaboration in quick win against human  players (L)xixi (eStarPro), SUN (EMC), SeeK (Nova), Night (KZ), Mike (M8HEXA)
“Honour of Kings” is considered to be an excellent experimental environment for testing AI's technical capabilities. The complexity of the game is 10 ^ 200000, and players have incomplete information. If AI can learn, analyze, understand, reason, and make decisions in real-time in such a complex environment, it can also be applied to changing and complex real-time environments. Many AI researchers in the industry believe that the next AI milestone is likely to be born in a complex strategy game.

The Tencent Wukong AI name implies “deep understanding and comprehension” and refers to a research project from Tencent AI Lab to explore new frontiers for strategic collaborative AI with deep intensive learning.

Aug 5, 2019 - Bangkok - Pomelo refreshes sustainable Purpose line's supply chain with recycled PET fabric and clothing donation initiative

A survey by YouGov found that 50% of all APAC consumers believe businesses are responsible for ensuring that their supply chains do not harm the environment.

Omnichannel Southeast Asian fashion brand Pomelo introduces Recycled PET (RPET) fabric from supplier EcoMax to its production processes for its third Purpose collection. The RPET material used in this collection was made from 21,775 100% post-consumer PET bottles that would otherwise enter landfills or pollute natural habitats.

Purpose, Pomelo's sustainable line, aims to bring awareness to the importance of building sustainable fashion futures. Along with the use of RPET material, organically-sourced fabrics and natural dye higher up in the supply chain, the brand encourages high-value reuse through clothing donations and redistribution.

Pomelo customers can drop off used clothing at select partnered locations and offline stores, or schedule free pick-ups by scanning a QR code stitched into their Purpose products. All collected clothing is then redistributed to underprivileged partner communities, organisations and charities in Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia.
