MyPay Mobile App Consolidates e-Government Digital Services Into a Single Platform

Dapat Vista Sdn. Bhd., Malaysian based tech startup launched the MyPay mobile app, which provides a one-stop e-governement service platform targeting consumer to consolidate and manage finances related to government agencies - for example, through the app individuals get to schedule monthly payment to higher education loan provided by the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) or tax assessment payment to LHDN.

To date, 10 government agencies have already signed up to the program who include the likes of PTPTN, MPSJ, LHDN, SPR, RAMCI etc

According to Sabri Rahman, Executive Director of MyPay, the app provides government agencies with yet another money collection avenue.

There is an approximately 1000 government agencies in Malaysia which MyPay will potentially integrate - it is expected to have a total of 1,176 integration points between MyPay and the agencies, 25 of which have been deployed.

The MyPay mobile app functions on low data consumption with an average of 20KB for API invocation, whilst the time it takes to load data from all connected agencies will take a mere 15 seconds or less - this means installing the app will not drain your battery and data consumption and hence is suitable for all walks of life.

Aside from the leadership of Sabri Rahman who is also the co-founder; the team has Nick Liew (CEO and co-founder), a finance expert who has worked at Ernst & Young in London, UK, and co-founded TrupCo Sdn. Bhd; and Joshua Smith (CTO and co-founder), tech genius who has worked at Accenture and Uber Malaysia and is a Chevening Scholar (UK).

The launch event was officiated by Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, who commented that the ministry lauds the effort as a quality, secure and comprehensive digital service for Malaysian consumer.
