Sep 20, 2019 - Huawei Releases Developer Program 2.0 for Developer Ecosystem Construction

During day 3 of HUAWEI CONNECT 2019, Huawei announced an investment of USD 1.5 billion in the next 5 years as part of its Developer Program 2.0. Its goal is to partner with enterprises and individual developers to build the ecosystem of the computing industry.


The leading ICT solutions provider also unveiled the Kunpeng Developer Kit and ModelArts 2.0 AI development platform for software development on the Huawei Kunpeng and Ascend computing platforms. Huawei now has 1.3 million registered individual developers and works with over 14,000 enterprise developers to innovate products and solutions to create value for customers.

Sep 18, 2019 - Cyberview and Digi open 5G OpenLab in Cyberjaya to spur 5G innovation

Cyberview Sdn Bhd (Cyberview) and Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Digi) today announced a partnership to introduce the 5G OpenLab, a 5G-powered collaborative space in Cyberjaya where businesses, academics and developers can go to test new 5G use cases.

Located in Cyberview’s RekaScape, the 5G OpenLab is a 1,102 square feet collaborative space that will serve to advance new technology solutions and innovations with Digi and its technology partner, ZTE.

The Lab will provide select participants the opportunity to trial test cases and prototypes that will benefit from 5G’s super high-speed, massive bandwidth and ultra-low latency connectivity in a live, controlled environment. The trials will be conducted using 100MHz of the 3.5GHz spectrum.

Sep 18, 2019 - Time Offers Private Connectivity to Google Cloud

TIME dotCom (“TIME”) today announced support for Google Cloud’s Partner Interconnect, a service from Google Cloud that allows customers to connect to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) globally. As a Cloud Interconnect partner, TIME can now provision private connections to Google Cloud Platform through its TIME Cloud Interconnect Direct (TCID) service.

Customers can now choose TIME to provide connectivity from their facility to the nearest Google edge point of presence. Locally-based customers who want direct connectivity to Google Cloud Interconnect will benefit from improved performance and visibility into their network.

Thanks to the existing infrastructure, customers can deploy in a matter of days. TCID has a Service Level Agreement of up to 99.9%, high service availability with a 24 x 7 x 365 support centre and scalability with up to 10Gbps of bandwidth.

Sep 18, 2019 - OPPO Launches Three New Flash Charge Technologies

OPPO is its proprietary flash charging technology to new heights with this announcement:
  • 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 (Can reach 100% in just half an hour, reach 27% in just 5 mins)
  • 30 Wireless VOOC Flash Charge (Reach 100% within 80mins)
  • VOOC 4.0 (67% in 30mins and 100% in 73mins, it will be available on K5)
In terms of availability, K5 will equip with VOOC 4.0 while Reno Ace will be available in our markets next year.
