Oct 4, 2019 - Fight for the Future: Kaspersky partners with 20th Century Fox for Terminator Dark Fate

Global cybersecurity company Kaspersky teams up with Twentieth Century Fox for the launch of its "Terminator: Dark Fate" promo where thousands of tickets for the latest sci-fi action movie is up for grabs for all of its digital customers in Southeast Asia.

For every single purchase of Kaspersky solutions including Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS), Kaspersky Total Security (KTS), and Kaspersky Security Center (KSC), customers will get free tickets to see the gritty and intense sequel to the blockbuster 90s hit Terminator 2. This promo begins on September 1 to November 15 this year.

Silver Peak, today surpassed 1,500 customer deployments of the industry leading Unity EdgeConnect™ SD-WAN edge platform, just four years from the first customer shipments in August, 2015.

New EdgeConnect SD-WAN edge platform customers include: Bethpage Federal Credit Union, Citrin Cooperman, eSilicon, Farrer & Co, First Bank, HFF, a JLL Company, MidSouth Bank, MinterEllison, SAM, and The Vitec Group.

Oct 1, 2019 - Bosch Malaysia Collaborates with a Robot Art Muralist, to Introduce A New Paradigm in Technology and Art

Bosch, a leading global supplier of technology and services, recently completed the country’s first ever robotic, printed wall mural in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in a collaboration with an Estonian tech start-up.

Drawing inspiration from the vision of future mobility, the mural, currently visible at Jalan Ipoh, embodies the positive synergy between man and technology, and the possibilities in which it will influence society for generations to come.

Bosch has collaborated with Malaysian artist Mohd Zaki Nordin who turned Bosch’s vision of an autonomous, connected, and electric-powered shuttle into an artwork. This was then brought to life by Estonian start-up ‘Robot Muralist’ through their smart printing robot, “Albert”.

NTT Ltd., the world-leading global technology services provider, announces Dimension Data, NTT Communications and Training Partners will today join 28 companies and brands from over 70 countries worldwide, rebranding as NTT, the global US $11 billion technology services company.

Also announced today is that NTT Ltd. in Malaysia will be led by Henrick Choo as CEO, Malaysia for NTT Ltd. He will be responsible for making sure the country meets the ambitious objectives of NTT Ltd. and its clients.

Oct 1, 2019 - Red Hat Empowers Malaysian Organizations To Expand Possibilities With Open Source

Today at the Red Hat Forum APAC 2019 in Kuala Lumpur, Red Hat held a session that aims to inspire Malaysian organizations to address the challenges they face and expand their possibilities with open source to generate impactful innovations. Customers had an opportunity to showcase how they are using open source innovations to modernize their infrastructure and applications to deliver exciting innovations.

(L-R) The Red Hat Forum 2019 featured executives Damien Wong, Vice President and General Manager, Asian Growth & Emerging Markets (GEMs), William John Streitberg, Chief Information and Technology Officer, Hong Leong Bank, Choong Lee Chen, Head of Lifestyle Banking, Alliance Bank, Lee Choo Yee, Head of Digital Innovation and Design, Alliance Bank, and Eric Quah, Country Manager for Red Hat Malaysia.

Red Hat executives also shared about their collaboration with the Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF) to address the technology skillset gap among SMEs in Malaysia, particularly in open source. Through the IND-CERT (industry certification program) with InfoTrek, Red Hat’s authorized training partner, the company is helping professionals to learn about its emerging technologies such as Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat OpenStack.

Additionally, the Malaysian winners of the 2019 Red Hat APAC Innovation Awards were also announced at the event. The award recognizes organizations for their outstanding and innovative usage of Red Hat solutions. Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad was awarded for the ‘Digital Transformation, Agile Integration’ category whereas Hong Leong Bank was recognized for the ‘Digital Transformation, IT Optimization’ category.
