Dec 3, 2019 - OPPO works with global partners to conduct the first DSS data call

OPPO today announced that it has made the industry’s first DSS (Dynamic Spectrum Sharing) data call using its world’s first DSS-enabled 5G smartphone via a collaboration with Ericsson, Qualcomm Technologies (a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated), Swisscom and Telstra (sort alphabetically).

OPPO has also become the global first smart device brand to support DSS. It marks a milestone on the path to make DSS technology a commercial reality. DSS technology enables carriers to leverage existing 4G and 5G frequency spectrums and networks accelerating the global deployment of 5G services and bring 5G experience on a broader scale.

Dec 3, 2019 - Nutanix Once Again (and Again) Named a Leader in Gartner MQ for Hyperconverged Infrastructure

Nutanix today announced it has been named a Leader by Gartner, Inc. in the November 2019 Magic Quadrant for Hyperconverged Infrastructure. Nutanix has been recognized in all editions of this Magic Quadrant since Gartner started it, for its simplicity and flexibility, as well as the company’s exceptional customer service.

This news comes on the heels of impressive momentum Nutanix has seen over the last year, including surpassing 14,000 customers globally and $1.2 billion in revenue for its latest fiscal year. The company also announced deepened collaborations with Hewlett Packard Enterprise and ServiceNow that enable increased choice for customers seeking hybrid cloud solutions that fit their unique needs.

Nutanix was also designated as a March 2019 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice vendor for hyperconverged infrastructure. Based on detailed feedback from 264 customer ratings, Nutanix has an average rating of 4.7 out of 5. Additionally, 92% of respondents identified as willing to recommend the brand. The company has also achieved an average Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 90 for the past five years.

Additionally, Nutanix recently appointed Tarkan Maner as Chief Commercial Officer, where he will lead the company’s global business development and corporate development efforts, with a focus on strategic partnerships, alliances, system integrators, and service providers. Maner’s responsibilities will include leading critical hybrid cloud-focused strategy and product teams.

Dec 2, 2019 - Bigetron RA Crowned Champion at PUBG MOBILE Club Open 2019 Fall Split Global Finals in Malaysia

From 29 November to 1 December, the world tuned into the PUBG MOBILE Club Open (PMCO) 2019 Fall Split Global Finals in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to witness one of the largest competitions ever held to-date in mobile Esports.

The tournament ended as Bigetron RA from Indonesia outscored the other 15 competitors around the globe to win the championship with a grand prize of $180,000 USD. TOP ESPORTS from China came in second place winning $90,000 USD and MEGA Esports from Thailand earned third place honors with a prize of $45,000 USD.




In addition to the official competition, PUBG MOBILE teamed up with renowned artists, Naim Daniel, Henry Lau and Badshah as special celebrity performers during all three days of PMCO 2019 Fall Split Global Finals. Dec 2, 2019 - BMW Malaysia, Safe ‘n Sound and Childline Foundation Open Registration for Subsidised Infant Carrier Car Seats

BMW Malaysia aims to accelerate the adoption of child car seats through a subsidy programme as part of the BMW Safety 360° initiative. In collaboration with Childline Foundation and Safe ‘n Sound, 150 units of infant carrier car seats will be made available at a subsidised price of RM100 each.

Harald Hoelzl, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia said, “With only 30% of drivers using child car seats for their children, it became more imperative for us as automakers to press on for child safety, regardless of the challenges we encounter in the fight for its education and accessibility."

The rear-facing infant carrier car seat, which retails at RM199, can be used from birth to 13kg and carries the ECE R44-04 certification. Parents can register for the subsidised infant carrier car seat at www.safensound.com.my/pages/child-car-seat-subsidy-programme from now until 15th December 2019. Parents eligible for the subsidy will be notified, after which a payment of RM 100 must be made prior to the pick-up of the car seat.
