Jan 6, 2020 - OPPO, vivo and Xiaomi partner to bring smoother, effortless cross-brand file sharing
World-leading smartphone brands OPPO, vivo and Xiaomi (in alphabetical order) have joined forces to expand the Peer-to-Peer Transmission Alliance in the global market, while also welcoming more Android smartphone brands to join the movement. The Alliance will allow users to transmit files, pictures, and videos without the need for an internet connection, reflecting how OPPO and its innovative operating system - ColorOS - is open to cooperate with other platforms.
The file transfer function scans devices using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) that boasts a broader range as well as lower power consumption, and it transmits files using Wi-Fi P2P (Peer to Peer) technology, which is faster than Bluetooth but will not compromise users’ Wi-Fi connectivity. This also delivers an average transfer speed of 20MB/s.
This is to anticipate the growing demand of P2P file transfer on high speed 5G network between mobile devices.

To celebrate the beginning of the year 2020, leading smartphone brand OPPO is sweetening the new year with price adjustments for selected popular models such as the A series and Reno series.
Starting from 6th January 2020 onwards, customers can get A5 2020 at a price of RM 599 instead of RM 699 and the Reno 2F at a price of RM 1399 instead of RM 1599, giving more reasons for all to look forward to the year 2020.
