Oracle Corporation, the world's leading IT solution provider, today unveils new database-to-storage system capabilities for customers using Oracle Database 12c with Oracle’s Sun ZFS Storage Appliance and Pillar Axiom storage systems.

Engineered together, Oracle Database 12c and Oracle storage systems can deliver a 65 percent reduction in administration, tuning and provisioning, and up to 12x data compression based on usage patterns. The new innovations are only available with Oracle storage.

Kuala Lumpur, 4 July 2013 – Malaysia as Vital R&D Hub for Exact’s Cloud Portfolio

Global software company, Exact will be expanding its regional development centre in Malaysia by adding headcount by as much as 50 percent this year. The regional centre will also receive a significant portion of Exact’s additional research and development funding for 2013 to finance the development of Exact’s new cloud offering.

Exact’s Asia Development Centre (ADC) houses Exact’s international software development team and serves as a regional hub for Southeast Asia. The Research and Development (R&D) division in the regional centre become an important focus point for the Dutch-based ERP company, as it fuels the expansion and development of Exact’s cloud portfolio, that will be internationally rolled out progressively in the coming months.

Singapore, Jul 1, 2013 - Peter Tyroller takes over responsibility for Bosch in Asia Pacific

The supervisory board of the Bosch Group, a leading global supplier of technologies and services, appointed Peter Tyroller to take over the responsibility for Asia Pacific effective from July 1, 2013. Based in Shanghai, PR China, he will be responsible for Southeast Asia and all other countries in the Asia Pacific region.

“Asia Pacific will continue to be the main driver of growth for Bosch and I am honored to take over the responsibility for this important region,” commented Peter Tyroller on his new assignment. He has been a member of the Bosch board of management since 2006. Up to now, he has been responsible for marketing and sales, original equipment sales, and the Automotive Aftermarket division.

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands - 25 Jun 2013 - IBM harnesses power of Big Data to improve Dutch flood control and water management systems

IBM announced the launch of Digital Delta, a breakthrough innovation program that will harness insights from Big Data to transform flood control and the management of the entire Dutch water system.

The program is in collaboration with Rijkswaterstaat (the Dutch Ministry for Water), local Water Authority Delfland, Deltares Science Institute and the University of Delft.

Digital Delta will investigate how to integrate and analyze water data from a wide range of existing data sources. These include precipitation measurements, water level and water quality monitors, levee sensors, radar data, model predictions as well current and historic maintenance data from sluices, pumping stations, locks and dams.

At Digital Delta's core is an intelligent, cloud-based system built on IBM’s Intelligent Water software and Smarter Water Resource Management solution including consulting expertise.
