By Techno Bird

The release of the new BlackBerry 10 operating system earlier brought some much needed improvements to the BlackBerry interface. While BlackBerry has traditionally been synonymous with work and productivity, its latest device, the BlackBerry Z10, attempts to improve the user’s entertainment experience as well. Let’s take a closer look at the Z10—and the best apps available on the market right now.

The BlackBerry Z10: A Review

The BlackBerry Z10 is slimmer, sleeker, and faster than previous BlackBerry devices, allowing it to join the ranks of the Samsung Galaxy S4, iPhone 5, and HTC One. The device is 5.12-inches by 2.58-inches by 0.35-inches, which makes it just slightly larger than the iPhone 5 and smaller than both the GS4 and HTC One. The Z10 is BlackBerry’s first phone to incorporate touchscreen technology, and its predictive text feature has been lauded for being more accurate than that of the GS4 or iPhone 5. In terms of storage, the Z10 comes with 16GB of built-in storage and 64GB of expandable storage, a capacity which is only beat by the GS4, according to a side-by-side comparison posted on CNET. Its 8-megapixel camera comes with innovative TimeShift technology, which easily allows users to create composite images from a series of images taken over the course of several seconds. While it’s still very much a business phone at heart, the Z10 features more app support than ever before.

San Francisco, California, August 22nd, 2013 – Kamcord, creators of an iOS SDK that lets users record and share actual videos of their mobile gameplays, announced that it has recorded over 1 billion gameplay videos. 6 Ways To Truly Enjoy Fantasy Premier League With Your Friends

So the 2013/14 EPL season is dawning upon us, and it’s the time for us fans of fantasy football to rev up the good ‘ol engines to get our fantasy teams running in the good ‘ol fantasy game we’ve gotten so used to. Or is there more? Let’s face it; there have been times when you wish you could change up the game to add some spice into the game you so dearly love. So here we’ve compiled some ways you can engage in fantasy football without wondering if you’re going to be stuck with the same old game for the rest of your life:

1. Running your own Fantasy EPL game

But you have always been running your own game, right? Wrong. You’ve just been ‘managing’ leagues that the fantasy game provider has been putting you in charge of all the while. While some idly accept that; what’s stopping YOU from running your own; one that sets yours apart from thousands of others? This is precisely why we have commissioner fantasy games around, for you to do just that – having a fantasy league with your own brand; by having your league’s unique URL (, anyone?) for a change. Take a look at this Fantasy EPL Commissioner,

2. Setting up the league to represent your personality

So you’ve got your own brand of a fantasy Premier League game. You can’t just stop there; so what’s going to make it different? Yup, you guessed it, embellishment. Specifically, you need to decorate your fantasy game with stuff like a logo or banner, a colour theme and site background. Extra points for creating your own (contrary to popular belief, image editing skills not necessary – there are a wealth of online image editors); but there’s no harm asking a friend for help - a little effort goes a long way.

Learning from the Astrid Case Study

If you haven't been using Astrid, here are some info. Astrid is was a web based calendar, to-do lists, reminders app for consumer. I had signed-up to it for the free service in hope to have a centralized management of all my to-do, reminders and etc - I also wanted a system which is web based. Hence, a search on Google landed me on Astrid few months back. I wasn't a heavy user, though I do find it to be intuitive, nice interface and seemed to have comprehensive functionality - it was also integrated with Google Calendar - it has more functionality than Google Calendar, Yahoo Calendar and etc.

Then, it was quite exciting to hear that it has been acquired by Yahoo! on May 1, 2013 - not because I am a big fan, notwithstanding that I am a bigger fan of Yahoo! and Mayer. Being an technopreneur, any acquisition news would excite me to a certain degree. Period.

And yesterday, I got an email informing that it was winding down.
